Shopping!

I shopped up a storm at Spotlight today! I found about 6 different fabrics that I fell in love with, and couldn't decide so I just had to get them all. Watch out for some very cute shoes coming your way soon. Im down to the last of the very popular tiki fabric and can't seem to get anymore which is a shame. I am trying to track some down though so watch this space. I also got some lovely damask fabric from a new facebook site "Here we sew again" but I just can't bring myself to cut it up!

This week I will be making a few things that I have sold out of - mainly shoes, but Im down to my last 2 blocks so I will be making some more of those too.

My poor lil monster Hunter hasn't been too well lately :( so most of my sewing needs to be done at night once he is asleep as he isn't sleeping much during the day. He is back to the Naturopath tomorrow, so fingers crossed he is on the road to recovery.

See you at Devonport!

Taggy blocks

These are our latest design and they are running out the door! Each block is unique, made from bright and colourful fabric. The tags are great for developing your lil monsters fine motor skills. Hunter loved his taggy block when he was learning to use his hands. He would hook his fingers through the tags and pick the block up, which then went straight into his mouth where everything tends to end up these days! Now he can pick up the whole block which keeps him entertained for ages. He was amazed at the pile of blocks ready for the market last weekend, all that colour.

Our facebook fans are rapidly growing in numbers - we are almost at 200! Thanks for those that came to see us at Devonport.

Clickety clack

Its been sooo cold lately! Ive been keeping warm inside by the fire knitting some more lil hats to add to the collection. Ive been having fun with new colours and patterns.

Next month we will be at the Devonport Craft Fair again - I would do one of those lil linky things but I don't know how :) Hopefully the weather will be a bit better than it was last time. But it was our first market and we had lots of fun anyway! We also managed to get a spot inside after a while which was great.

There are lots of exciting things happening at lil monsters at the moment. We are fast approaching 100 fans on Facebook, have a website in the making and have some fabric labels being printed. Cant wait!

New photos and facebook page

We had the cutest photo shoot ever yesterday with Hunter, Niwa and Kai. Check out their beautiful pics under the bibs, shoes and hat sections. We were missing the sleeping Teina and Lilly who decided to head away for the weekend.

Ive also set up a facebook page. Just click on the little FB badge to the right and it will take you right there.

New fabric!

Yay, just ordered some cool new fabric for bibs and shoes. There will be more tikis, buzzy bees, hungry caterpillars and herbies (VW beetles) all very cute.

I haven't yet mastered the art of crochet flower, but thank goodness for my Mother in Law who is pretty handy with a crochet hook. So the new range of girls beanies will be adorned with cute little flowers.

stuff my mummy made me

Now the cold winter weather has well and truly arrived you can find me inside having a cuddle with my own lil monster in front of the fire.

On those rare occasions that he decides to have a nap during the day, you will find me in front of the sewing machine or with a pair of knitting needles making a woolly creation. I havent yet mastered the crochet hook, but watch this space.

Here are a few of my latest creations including bandana bibs, woolly hats and soft shoes.
